Update 7/18/09

Work continues on the stories as Rachel and Tom try to balance writing with outdoor projects. It's been slow going, but we have not abandoned writing. Tom has started preliminary work on his next story, a departure from the fantasy genre. It will be a horror story in the vein of slasher movies, but with my own twists and take on it. Hopefully it will be decent. Will keep you posted on details, but first I need to finish the third Tymarune book, then I'll focus on the new one.
Rachel is coming along on hers, and it will be worth the wait. It is very good and I can't wait to read the finished product.

Gen Update 6/19

Well, the warmer weather has unfortunately stalled the writing projects as Rachel and I become more involved in our outdoor activities. This is only a minor hiccup, as I am still writing whenever I can and still plan to have the third Tymarune book completed by August. Rachel writes when she can, she's been working a ton, and her book is going to be incredible. If you liked the feel of Descent, you'll love Fastling.
Once Tymarune is complete, I'll be spending some time looking for an agent, as well as trying to get my book into local stores, before I move on to a new project. Still leaning towards some short stories, but I have a number of ideas for new, stand alone, novels, too. Well, probably stand alone, writing series is fun, because you become entrenched in that world and hate to leave it!

General Update 5/25/09

Rachel is making serious headway on Fastling, which I just read a part of her new stuff, and it is amazing. By far her best work, the story is richer and more complex than Descent and it is just as captivating. She keeps plugging away at it and hopefully it'll be done soon! It really is an amazing story.
I am still working on the third Tymarune book and its coming along. This one is a broader story and delves into more of the world than the previous two and I think its the best one of the three so far. I am hoping to have the first draft done in a month or so, then I'll be editing it, possibly rewriting depending on how well it flows. Once its done I will focus on finding a literary agent before starting on a new project, which will be a departure from Tymarune, possibly a series of short stories.

To any of you who use it...all of our books, the novels and the kid's books, are available through Amazon.com for the Kindle readers! I've sold one copy of Descent in this format so far and hope that the others take off, soon!

As for currents work...Tom's third instalment of the Tymarune series is amazing so far, the darkest and grittiest by far in the series. A definite attention grabber from the start! And Fastling, my second, is taking on a life of it's own. I'll have more time to work on it over the summer, so ~cross your fingers~ I'll be done with it this fall and can start the editing and polishing phase. My friend Mindi has agreed to work on the cover art with me for it. That'll be a project on it's own since I want to incorporate a lot of elements from the story and layers of details into the final look. It'll be fin, I think!

General Update 4/21/09

Been a while since we've updated on here.
Tom is hard at work on book number 3 of the Tymarune series. This one should be a bit longer, darker and wrap up a bunch of loose ends from the first 2 books. This will be the culmination of the initial series dealing with Xander, more stories from Tymarune may follow after Tom has explored some other ideas.
Rachel is still working away at Fastling and it is coming along nicely. She may be writing some more of the Fearless Three books, as she has received numerous requests for more. Her books continue to sell and she is doing very well in that aspect.
We would like to thank all of our followers and everyone that's purchased our books. We hope you enjoy them and come back for more.

General Update 3/4/09

Rachel and I are currently in the process of creating hardcover editions of our novels. These should be available soon and will be a neat thing to have, especially when we're famous! So, check out the Lulu storefronts periodically to see when they're up, and to see any other projects.
Tom's second novel is completed and for sale through Lulu now, too.

I have begun work on the third installment, already about 20 pages in, so it's coming along. Rachel's friend Mindi has the cover art done for it, so I'll be tinkering with that soon, too. I may also be drawing and composing a Tymarune companion guide with sketches of characters, maps, a glossary and more, but that won't be compiled for some time.
Tomorrow's my birthday, so go buy my books!

Tom's update 2/17

Whispers Against the Darkness is done! I ordered a proof copy of it yesterday and once it arrives and gets the final OK, then it'll be available for ordering online. I really like this one, I think it delves deeper into Tymarune, some of its history and fleshes out some of the characters more.
Up next will definately be #3, tenatively titled Revelations of the Dawn, but I am also going to be trying my hand at some shorter projects, too, so #3 won't be done for quite some time. But, keep checking back and I'll let you know what's coming next. And I'll post when WAtD is on sale.

Descend again....

After some serious nagging from my mom and some very serious thought...I am editing Descent Into Temptation! Once I have completed the edit, I'll be publishing a second edition. Possibly in hardcover. See if I can cull out the hardcore fans by offering a hard cover project! I'll also make it available in paperback in the second edition as well.
None of the story will be changed, but the text will be cleaned up a lot! I've found, and been told of, a lot of errors I made. Simple errors that if I had slowed down in the first place I would have caught.
So...please be patient, and keep an eye out..a hard cover second edition will be on the way soon!!!
The cover will feature my mom's art work on the second edition, but I may vary the cover some, to help it stand apart from the first edition. But I will worry about that at a later date when I'm closer to publishing.

1/9/09 Tom's update

Shadows of Twilight is finally done, I think we got all the layout problems fixed. I am going to be uploading a revised cover today or tomorrow, one that matches the cover for the second book, which I just finished the cover for, with artwork by Rachel's good friend Mindi. I think the covers look pretty good and hopefully they're eye catching.

I'm about halfway through the rewrite of #2, plan on having that done and published by the end of January. The cover for #2 is shown here. Let me know what you think.

It is done and complete and up for sale! Whew! I'm going to be taking a break from the kid's books while I focus on my novel-in-progress, but will return to them since they are so much fun to write!
